RR attended the discussion of Juris North on Wednesday 25 March: Legal and Political Philosophy Discussion Group hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University. The discussion was presented by Dr. James Pattison from the University of Manchester on 'The Ethics of Arming the Rebels'. Dr.
RR attended a charity event organised by Palestinian Forum in Britain on 15 March 2015 to help the Syrian Palestinians who are affected by the siege imposed on them by the Syrian regime. This event hosted Mr.Zuhair Salem, the poet Ahmad Alkandari, and the singer Abdulfattah Oienat.
RR participated in a vigil organised by Oxfam to mark 4 years of the humanitarian crisis in Syria.
RR attended a public meeting with Stefan de Mistura, UN Special Envoy for Syria, at Chatham House in London on 5 March. We were also privileged to attend a subsequent smaller meeting organised by Oxfam between Special Envoy de Mistory and select representatives of Syrian organisations in the UK.
RR Met with MEP Afzal Khan on 20 February and conveyed to him some of our concerns regarding domestic and international policy towards Syria. RR advised MEP Afzal Khan on 13 February regarding his speech on Syria in European Parliament and he took on board many of our suggestions and included a quote from RR in his press release.
