RR participated in the Greater Manchester Campaigns Bazaar on Thursday 27 November.
Over 30 organisations were represented in this bazaar, and it was a great opportunity for us to network with other organisations with similar activities and interests.
RR met with Sir Paddy Ashdown, Chair of the Lib-Dem 2015 General Election Team, during a fundraiser event for John Leech MP on 27 November. We stressed that the UK government should put more pressure to stop the bloodshed in Syria and that ISIS is only one part of the larger conflict.
RR in cooperation with Syria Relief, held a workshop in the Peace Conference at Oldham Council on 19 October 2014. The workshop focused on how local citizens can help the Syrian people.
RR attended a conference hosted by Chatham House in London on 14 October titled 'Syria's Conflict and the Impact on its Neighbours'. The keynote speaker was Mr Lakhdar Brahimi, the former UN and Arab League Special Envoy to Syria.
Rethink Rebuild Society participated in a tribute event for Alan Henning on 12 October 2014 at the British Muslim Heritage Centre and offered its condolences to friends and family of Alan Henning. This message was delivered to the audience by Rethink Rebuild's Advocacy and Policy Coordinator Yasmine Nahlawi.
