On Wednesday 01 February 2023, we hosted a very informative seminar on the state of the British economy and the causes that led to the cost of living crisis. A depressing reality that's worth learning more about.
A big take home message also about strengthening communities building links and coming together.
On Wednesday 28 September, we hosted the film screening of Ken Loach film ‘It’s a Free World’ followed by tea, biscuits, and thought-provoking discussion! It was a lovely event that witnessed a great participation. Thank you to all that attended, and we look forward to welcoming you to our next screening!
On Wed 16 Feb 2022, RR was delighted to host the film screening and post-screening discussion of Thou Shalt Not Hate. The film talks about Simone, a renowned surgeon and the son of a Holocaust survivor, who rushes to the scene of a hit-and-run, but when he sees a Nazi tattoo on the victim’s chest, he leaves the man to die violating his Hippocratic Oath as a doctor.
In partnership with Culture Entanglement, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted two community discussions in Arabic about TED Talks. On Sunday 28th November, Dr Nada Albunni talked about the idea behind TED Talks and how important it is for the Arab communities to get involved in this project which is a good way to learn about key issues being discussed in world nowadays.
