On Wednesday 22 July, we were delighted to host the launch of "The Book of Damascus", in partnership with Comma Press, bringing people together for an evening of literature, reflection and meaningful conversation.
Rethink Rebuild Society welcomed members of the community to the Centre on Sunday 22 February for men and Monday 23 February for women to open the fast together and take part in an important discussion on hate crime. Guests arrived from 5:00pm and broke their fast at 5:30pm, followed by a dedicated talk and discussion on hate crime.
On Thursday 26th December, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted an event in arabic to discuss the current state of Syria.
The event offered a space for Syrians to share their personal reflections on the current situation in Syria, their dreams for the country’s future, and the plans they have for themselves and their families.
On Tuesday 17th December, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted a profound and meaningful evening of discussion in Arabic about Syria, bringing together members of the community to reflect on the past, envision the future, and share their dreams for a rebuilt Syria.
On Saturday 27 April 2024, our centre had the pleasure of hosting a screening of "Freedom to Run," accompanied by a thought-provoking Q&A session with the filmmakers. This captivating film chronicles the journeys of two distinct groups of runners: one hailing from Right to Movement in Palestine, and the other from Scotland.
