Freedom to Run: Film Screening and Filmmaker Q&A

On Saturday 27 April 2024, our centre had the pleasure of hosting a screening of "Freedom to Run," accompanied by a thought-provoking Q&A session with the filmmakers. This captivating film chronicles the journeys of two distinct groups of runners: one hailing from Right to Movement in Palestine, and the other from Scotland.

The Tower: Film Screening & Discussion

On Friday, 26 January 2024, we hosted a film screening of "The Tower" followed by a Q&A with director Mats Grorud, who joined us remotely from Norway via Zoom. The film tells the story of Wardi, an 11-year-old Palestinian girl in a refugee camp in Lebanon, who learns about her family's history through stories told by 3 previous generations.

On Wednesday 01 February 2023, we hosted a very informative seminar on the state of the British economy and the causes that led to the cost of living crisis. A depressing reality that's worth learning more about.
A big take home message also about strengthening communities building links and coming together.

It’s a Free World: Film Screening & Discussion

On Wednesday 28 September, we hosted the film screening of Ken Loach film ‘It’s a Free World’ followed by tea, biscuits, and thought-provoking discussion!
