The exhibition “Silenced voices: Syrian women in Assad’s prisons” organised by Rethink Rebuild Society was hosted by Lancaster Priory Church on Saturday, 23rd of March. The exhibition also included a short talk by a former detainee, Aminah Khoulani, and a film screening “Silent War” by Manon Louizeau.
As part of the University of Chester's Diversity Festival 2019, RR Manager Dr. Haytham Alhamwi delivered a talk about the Syrian refugees on Monday 11 March. The talk was part of a Social and Political Studies Developing Multicultural Competence module but it was open to all staff, students and visitors to attend.
