On Thursday 20 June, we successfully hosted a one-day conference on therapeutic work with Syrian refugees. The conference aimed at creating a space for therapists and other mental health practitioners working therapeutically with Syrian refugees to reflect, interact and share insights with one another. The conference was coordinated by Dr Alison Summers and Dr Mustafa Alachkar, both consultant psychiatrists and medical psychotherapists. The speakers were so passionate and thought provoking. The event itself was well put and well organised and participants were left moved by the things that were discussed and presented.
