On Sunday 10th July, we had our 6th annual fun day in Manchester at Levenshulme High School. This was a hugely successful event that bought together over 1600 Syrians from across the UK to connect with their local communities and to celebrate Eid El-Fitr.
We enjoyed a day out on the bank holiday Monday of 30 May in York and Bolton Abbey. We departed from Manchester in two buses and went to various destinations within these areas. If was a sunny relaxing and enjoyable day for all members of the family!
We attended Syria Relief's annual dinner on 21 May which provided the community with an update about its work inside Syria and encouraged audience members to continue to support the charity's efforts. The event was well attended and the charity was able to fundraise a record amount.
Community youth volunteers ran a session of 'Artful Children' on 23 April in which they had children trace and design full-size images of themselves. This six-week programme for Syrian children between the ages of 5 and 10 has been funded by V-inspired and is being organised completely by youth volunteers.
We held our indoor family fun day on Sunday 10 April in Levenshulme High School. This is one of the largest annual Syrian events in the country and we were blessed with amazing weather, dedicated and selfless volunteers, and wonderful guests who came from Manchester, London, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, and beyond!
