On Wednesday 23rd April, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted the latest Arab Volunteer Hate Crime Committee Meeting. While the committee has been steadily coming together over the past few months, this meeting marked another key milestone in our journey.
Over the past few months, Rethink Rebuild Society has been working in partnership with Marjan to deliver Arabic language learning activities for children.
On Monday 31st March, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted a special Eid Al-Fitr Celebration at Run of The Mill for Syrian families. Children had a blast enjoying the activities, while parents relaxed and connected in the lounge area.
On Friday 21st March, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted a community iftar for ladies. It was a lovely evening where laughter, conversation, and shared experiences strengthened the bonds within the community.

On Sunday 16th March, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted a book launch and Q&A with Professor Wendy Pearlman.
During the event, she discussed her two books, We Crossed a Bridge and It Trembled: Voices from Syria (2017) and The Home I Worked to Make: Voices from the New Syrian Diaspora (2024).
On Friday 14th March, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted a wonderful Iftar for the Syrian community at Eastern Pearl. It was a lovely evening filled with warmth and joy. The children had a great time with the entertainment, making it a memorable event for all.
On Friday 7th March, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted an Iftar for Syrian men in the community, including new arrivals. The event fostered a sense of unity and connection, bringing people together in the spirit of Ramadan.

On Wednesday 26th February, Rethink Rebuild Society had the pleasure of attending 'Connecting the Sector: Partnerships Working and Volunteer Management' hosted by Migrant Help.
Rethink Rebuild Society, in collaboration with Marjan, has been hosting a fantastic series of Tuesday evening Story Gatherings throughout February, bringing families together for an afternoon of connection, storytelling, and cultural enrichment.
