On Friday 20th June 2025, Rethink Rebuild Society, in partnership with Stockport Homes Group, hosted a screening of Fremont as part of Refugee Week 2025. The event brought together a wonderful group of people to watch this moving and funny film, followed by a thoughtful discussion on resilience, community, and the refugee experience.
On Sunday 15th June, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted a celebration for the students who took part in the Chemistry for Refugee Students workshops. It was a joyful event where students received their certificates, gifts and enjoyed inspiring talks and presentations.
On Sunday 8th June, Rethink Rebuild Society in partnership with Celebrating Syria: A Festival of Arts and Culture hosted a vibrant and successful afternoon of Syrian culture at Aviva Studios to mark Eid Al-Adha. The free event brought together people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy an unforgettable celebration of music, dance, food, and creativity.
On Tuesday 27th, Thursday 29th and Friday 30th May Rethink Rebuild Society supported with the delivery of the Chemistry Education Workshops for refugee children aged 9–14 at the University of Manchester!
On Saturday 31st of May, Rethink Rebuild Society a successful watch party for the UEFA Champions League Final between PSG and Inter Milan, bringing the local Syrian community together for an exciting evening of football and connection.
On Saturday 17th May, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted A Tale of Two Cities! It was a moving and insightful event that brought together history, culture, and music in support of a vital cause.
On Thursday 8th May, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted a moving seminar on the recent events in Syria at the end of 2024 and their impact on Syrians and the wider region.
On Friday 2nd May, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted the Syrian Games Olympics for Men — a vibrant and highly successful event that brought together members of the community in a spirit of friendly competition and unity. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who attended and participated.
