Chemistry Education for Refugee Students!

On Tuesday 27th, Thursday 29th and Friday 30th May Rethink Rebuild Society supported with the delivery of the Chemistry Education Workshops for refugee children aged 9–14 at the University of Manchester!

The workshops were hugely successful, giving refugee children an exciting opportunity to discover the wonders of science through fun, hands-on experiments. Organised by Dr Abdullatif Alfutimie, funded by the Chemists’ Community Fund (Royal Society of Chemistry), and run in partnership with Rethink Rebuild Society, the sessions were filled with curiosity, creativity, and joy. Children also explored the impressive Manchester Engineering Campus Development (MECD).

The workshops were a truly inspiring experience — building confidence, sparking a love for science, and bringing the community together in the most uplifting way.
