The third and final day of the Labour Party Conference on 30 September was busy with a final push for lobbying! After a BBC Radio Manchester interview in the morning, we learned that Jeremy Corbyn was also due to arrive for some interviews, and waited for him to arrive.
The second day of the Labour Party Conference on 29 September was busy in speaking to people about Syria and meeting with MPs to ask them to support a no-fly zone to protect civilians. We met with the following MPs and gave them copies of our policy document:

RR attended an event in Parliament organised by Planet Syria. This event was hosted by Gisela Stuart MP and offered Syrian organisations and supporters an opportunity to get their voices heard to a number of MPs and Lords. Members of Planet Syria conveyed the dismal conditions in Syria and emphasised the need for concerted international action.
RR attended an evidence session hosted by Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee regarding UK policy on Syria. The session hosted five 'experts', none of whom were Syrian and who provided policy recommendations that, in the opinion of Rethink Rebuild Society as the voice of the Syrian community of Manchester, diverge from the opinions of Syrians themselves.
