Yasmin Qureshi MP kindly accepted our request to meet with her in her constituency office in Bolton. We met with her on 15 October to discuss Syria, which is pertinent given the potential Parliamentary vote on Syria within the next month and given that she sits on Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee. We were pleased that Yasmin agrees with us that the root cause of the problem in Syria is Assad and that any action that does not address this will not, in effect, resolve the underlying crisis. However, she is not entirely convinced regarding the feasibility of a no-bombing zone and will be speaking to military experts in this regard.
