Our Research and Policy Coordinator Dr. Yasmine Nahlawi co-authored an article with George Morris, MPhil student at Cambridge University, in the journal 'Renewal' titled 'Syria: A betrayal of Labour’s internationalism and solidarity'.
UK-based Syrian organisations, including RR, have expressed their concern about the emergence of a new group, ‘The European Centre for the Study of Extremism, Cambridge’, which appears to exist primarily to spread propaganda for the Assad dictatorship.
On Mothers Day 26 March, Syrian women and supporters held a silent stand in Manchester Piccadilly to remember Syrian mothers who have their children, spouses, or immediate family members detained in Assad regime prisons.

RR Advocacy Director, Dr Haytham Alhamwi, has been interviewed, along other civil society leaders, by Aljazeera English during his visit to Geneva. The purpose of his visit to Geneva was to focus on the importance of the issue of detainees in the Geneva negotiations between Assad regime and the opposition.
