Our Research and Policy Coordinator Bilal Shami was invited on 5th of December 2017 to speak at Saferworld's report launch, "Syria: Playing into their hands" in collaboration with David Keen, Professor at the London School of Economics.
On the 2nd and the 3rd of December 2017, RR development coordinator Amaf Yousef participated in the Civil Society Stocktaking and Strategy Meeting amidst the preparations of the UN consultations for Global Compact for Migration (GCM) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) Friends of Syria and Crisis Action held a panel event on 27 November 2017 under the title of 'Last Men in Aleppo: What Role Can the UK Play in Syria?' that served to warn of the dangers of repeating the same mistakes that international inaction and lack of accountability have impacted in the disaster of Aleppo in 2016.
On Sunday, 26 November, our multi-facility room was host for a screening of the documentary 7 Days in Syria. The documentary tells the story of a western journalist inside war-torn Syria where she meets unknown heroes helping their fellow Syrians get through their daily suffering.
