Helping Refugees Past and Present

On Friday 11 October 2019. our wonderful colleagues Miss Dana Sharkas and Dr Moaz El Sayed were invited to participate in a panel discussion called "Helping Refugees Past and Present"at St Peters House in Manchester. The event was organised as part of Journeys Festival 2019 and highlighted why people engage in refugee work, and what challenges they encounter.


Therapeutic Work with Syrian Refugees: Exchanging Ideas

On Thursday 20 June, we successfully hosted a one-day conference on therapeutic work with Syrian refugees. The conference aimed at creating a space for therapists and other mental health practitioners working therapeutically with Syrian refugees to reflect, interact and share insights with one another.


Launch of "The Syrian Apple" Art Exhibition

Rethink Rebuild Society launched “The Syrian Apple” art exhibition by Amany Al-Ali from Idlib, Syria on Wednesday, 13th of February. The artist participated in the launch event through video call so visitors had the chance to ask their questions to Al-Ali.


Not Forgotten: The Suffering of Assad’s Prisoners

On Saturday 24th November, in Cheadle Muslim Asscoiation, Haytham Alhamwi gave a talk about the story of the people of his hometown, Daraya, in Assad’s jails many of whom were tortured to death or extra-judicially executed in those jails.
