The third interactive workshop for young Syrian refugees “The grand journey of art and design” was held on Saturday 16th of September. This one of several workshops which have been organised by Rethink Rebuild Society (RR), Foundation for Science, Technology, Civilisation UK (FSTC UK), and AMAL aimed to celebrate the diversity of Muslim cultures.
Between 3rd and 9th of September 2017, our Refugee Support Coordinator, Ahmad Mujahed Nayef, joined activists from Germany, Sweden, Lebanon, UK, Norway, France, and Greece in Athens to get the training for “Train the trainer-Creative and Social Entrepreneur Programme”. The Creative and Social Entrepreneur Programme is a short course certified by University of Manchester.
Over 1500 Syrians from across the UK and their non-Syrian friends attended our 7th annual Syrian fun day in Manchester on Saturday the 2nd of September. It was held this year at the Albion Academy in Salford and it was a hugely successful event that bought hundreds of Syrians from across the UK to connect with their local communities and to celebrate Eid Al-Adha.
