As part of ‘Celebrating Syria: A Festival of Arts and Culture 2018', two cooking workshop were delivered on 8th October at RR Society and they offered the attendees a rare opportunity to observe a Syrian cook making delicious food from scratch! The meal cooked was a Syrian vegetarian dish called 'ḥarrāq ʾiṣbaʿo' [burnt fingers].
As part of ‘Celebrating Syria' Festival 2018, a discussion with Itab Azzam, one of the authors of "Syria: Recipes from Home" was organised on Monday 8th October. Recipes and sad and happy stories were all shared in this most enjoyable evening with Itab. 50 copies of the book were sold during the event!
