We are so thrilled to announce that Rethink Rebuild Society (RR) is the winner of Emerging Impact Award as voted on social media, for their work with supporting and improving the lives of refugees in the UK. The ceremony took place at the University of Manchester on Thursday 6 February 2020.
On 30 January 2020, RR hosted Lisa from Forever Manchester who introduced Cash 4 Graft Awards. This program allows community members to fund their projects and ideas that can make them happy, and bring the member of the community together. Grant can be between 50£ and 250 £.
On 29 January 2020, Rethink Rebuild hosted film screening event for ''The Echo of Pain of the Many'' as well as the launch of the photo exhibition '' An Enduring Struggle for Justice''.
On Monday 20th January 2020 Rethink Rebuild Society hosted a Celebration of life for Dina Newton-Edwards, who sadly passed away on Thursday 2 January.
Dina was a true friend of us. She was an inspiration. She did so very much to support Syrian refugees and she was the reason many people learned about Syria and volunteered to help them.
On Sunday 5 January 2020, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted the first lecture in 2020 about the role of humanitarian NGOs in responding to the Syrian Crisis. The lecture was provided by the humanitarian activist Mr Mazen Al Hossaini who shared his knowledge and experience through working with different Syrian and International NGOs.
