On Friday, 09 February 2024, we organised a social gathering for women. It provided an opportunity to connect, meet one another, socialise, and engage in activities such as table tennis and board games. Additionally, the event featured a presentation by Dr. Yasmine Nahlawi on the topic of hate crimes in society and how to report them.
On Tuesday, 06 February 2024, Rethink Rebuild Society participated in an end-of-project event to meet with the funders, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, and other organisations that received funding to conduct various projects promoting Community Diagnostic Centers (CDCs) among different communities in the UK.
On Friday, 26 January 2024, we hosted a film screening of "The Tower" followed by a Q&A with director Mats Grorud, who joined us remotely from Norway via Zoom. The film tells the story of Wardi, an 11-year-old Palestinian girl in a refugee camp in Lebanon, who learns about her family's history through stories told by 3 previous generations.
