As part of ‘Celebrating Syria' Festival of Arts and Culture 2018, on 9 October, a lovely evening that combined the poetical inventiveness of Samir Kanou with the musical prowess of Peshang Abdulhannan was hosted by 'HOME'.

In partnership with HOME, a group discussion, held on 9th of October, discussed the questions ‘What do we mean by “home” and how do we relate to the concept?’
As part of ‘Celebrating Syria: A Festival of Arts and Culture 2018', two cooking workshop were delivered on 8th October at RR Society and they offered the attendees a rare opportunity to observe a Syrian cook making delicious food from scratch! The meal cooked was a Syrian vegetarian dish called 'ḥarrāq ʾiṣbaʿo' [burnt fingers].
On the second day of our 'Celebrating Syria' Festival 2018, 7th October, a musical performance by Riyad Nicolas was hosted at the Stoller Hall.
Celebrating Syria 2018: a Festival of Arts and Culture, was launched on Saturday 6th October by a screening at the University of Manchester of "HOME" - a stirring and engaging film by Rafat Al Zakout.
