We held our monthly free film screening of Maskoon (Haunted) at our community centre in Longsight, Manchester on Sunday 22 January. Maskoon explores the concept of a home – in a physical and in a metaphorical sense, and how one feels when forced to leave their home. The audience had a discussion at the end with Director, Liwaa Yazji, exploring what it is like for Syrian refugees who are forced to leave their home, and how they deal with the loss. A very deep and personal discussion which resonated profoundly with many in the audience.
