In an interview on 28 November with Channel 4, we made the case that there is a mechanism of circumventing the abusive Russian veto within the UN Security Council. International action has long been held hostage to the veto, but we argued that there is a way to achieve action through the Uniting for Peace mechanism which States should rally behind to achieve civilian protection in Syria.
