Rethink Rebuild Society showed film of ‘The President’ on Sunday 22 November 2015 followed by a discussion about the film and how it links to the current political affairs.
The film was directed by the imminent Iranian director Mohsen Makhmalbaf and tells the story of a brutal dictator who comes face to face with the injustices committed by his regime when his country is taken over by revolutionists.
The film was shown as part of a series of films that RR wishes to present that are related to the Syrian cause, the Arab Spring and other relevant issues.
