In collaboration with Nour AL-Sham Foundation and Answer Cancer Programme, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted an awareness session on the importance of the early detection of cancer. With focus on the four common types of cancer: Cervical Cancer, Breast Cancer, Bowel Cancer, and Prostate Cancer, a member of Answer Cancer programme provided updated statistics of survival rates among people diagnosed with cancer in the UK.
The session also stressed on the importance of understanding screening procedure and the rights of the patients especially among migrants communities who suffer from high rates of casualties due to cancer mainly because language barrier and cultural difference.
