On Thursday 24 September 2020, RR participated in an online session exploring the main findings of Ageing Equally programme. Funded by Ambition for Ageing, the aim of the programme was to find out what makes a good place in which to grow older for people who belong to minority communities.
Rethink Rebuild Society (RR) utterly condemns a recent decree signed by the Syrian regime on 8 July 2020 that requires returning Syrians to exchange US $100 or other Central Bank permitted hard currencies into Syrian local currency Lira. Syrian exchanged money loses over 70% of its value in line with customs and aviation authorities’ rates.
On Thursday 23 July 2020 we hosted a webinar dedicated to the entrepreneur “Elon Musk”, founder of Tesla, SpaceX and Solar city and other innovative projects. The webinar which was delivered by Dr Firas Miro, highlighted the biography of Musk and how he has changed the world we live in and what lessons we can learn from his invaluable experience.
On Wednesday 17 June 2020, Rethink Rebuild Society participated in a live webinar dedicated to the Refugee Week, whose theme for this year is “imagine”.
On Monday 18 May 2020, RR hosted the 9th episode of virtual talks on its Facebook page. The talk was about food habits during the month of Ramadan, and it was delivered by Dr Abdul Mannan Fadel, a Senior Lecturer at the Liverpool John Moores University.
On Thursday 07 May 2020 RR hosted the 8th episode of virtual talks on its Facebook page. The talk was about the “Health of Mouth and Teeth during the Quarantine Period”, and it was delivered by Dr Bilal Sabbagh, a Doctor of Dental Surgery in the UK. In his presentation, Dr Sabbagh talked about the required steps for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.
On Wednesday 29 April 2020 RR hosted the 7th episode of virtual talks on its Facebook page. The talk was about back and spin pain, and it was delivered by Mr Ammar Sawaf, a COPA Practitioner at CT Clinic Manchester. In his presentation, Mr. Sawaf spoke about how to avid pain in general and backbone pain in particular.
On Wednesday 22 April 2020, RR hosted the 6th episode of virtual talks on its Facebook page. The Talk was entitled “Raising Awareness about Breast Related Illnesses” and it was delivered by Dr Hazem Khout, a Consultant Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon at the NHS.
On Saturday 18 April 2020 at 7pm, RR hosted the 4th episode of virtual talks on its Facebook page. The Talk was about understanding "Wellness & Mental Health" Issues and it was delivered by Dr Mustafa Alachkar, a Consultant Psychiatrist at the NHS.
On Wednesday 15 April 2020 at 7pm we hosted the 3rd episode of virtual talks on our Facebook page. The talk was about “Bullying in Schools” and it was delivered by Mr Ahmad Mujahed Nayef, a computer science and design technology teacher in the UK.
