On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, children gathered to watch the animated movie "Bilal" (2016), which portrays the story of Bilal ibn Rabah, a former slave who became a revolutionary figure. As we enjoyed popcorn together, we also engaged in a discussion about the valuable teachings conveyed by the story.

Fifa Tournament for Kids

On Tuesday, 29 August 2023, we organised a PlayStation FIFA tournament that featured an exhilarating final match between brothers Omar and Ahmad. This event proved to be a thrilling experience for the children in our community, as they enjoyed competing against each other in various FIFA games throughout the tournament.

‘Bring a Dish’ Party

On Thursday, August 24, 2023, we hosted a ‘bring a dish’ party for our ladies. The evening was filled with an abundance of delectable dishes and dancing that carried on late into the night. It proved to be a delightful gathering where Syrian women came together, forged connections, relished the culinary delights, and had a great time.

Summer Camping In the Lake District

We were filled with joy as we organized a delightful summer camping activity for our community members, taking place from Friday 7th July to Sunday 9th July 2023 in Eskdale, Lake District. The camp was a tremendous success, bringing our community together for a memorable experience, particularly for the children who had an absolute blast.

Eid Celebrations: Uniting our Community with Joy and Togetherness

We organised two vibrant Eid events at Run of the Mill and Cringle Park, which brought joy and unity to our community members. The first event featured a delightful play area for kids, where children could immerse themselves in fun activities and create lasting memories. The parents too had fun meeting and celebrating Eid together.
