A coalition of Syrian organisations issued a statement on 1 May regarding the appalling situation in Aleppo. We condemned the Assad regime's systematic targeting of civilian areas and of medical facilities and stressed that civilian protection is the only way to guarantee the survival of the political process.
A group of Syrian civil society organisations under the name of 'Save Our Syria' released a statement on 7 April 2016 regarding violations of the ceasefire agreement. We stressed that there must be consequences for any violation of the ceasefire and also pressed the urgency of the situation on the ground.
On 25 February, a group of over 200 civil society organisations submitted a letter to President Putin reminding him of his country's complicity in war crimes and crimes against humanity. We called on him to stop bombing civilian areas and those controlled by moderate opposition forces and to leave Syria.
