Rethink Rebuild Society organised a successful fundraising Iftar on Friday 16th of June to support Iqraa school in the western suburbs of Aleppo Province, Syria. This school is funded by Manchester Community and implemented in collaboration with Syria Relief (UK registered Charity). The school opened its doors for Syrian children on 15th September 2014 and it accommodated about 500 students in 2015.
The Iftar has managed to collect more than £40,000. This is more that two thirds of the estimated functioning cost of the next academic year.
Our sincere thanks to all those who attended or pledged money to support this important project to save the future of Syria.
