On 4 December, Rethink Rebuild signed an open letter in the Huffington Post. The letter was an emotional plea to prioritise the protection of Syrian civilians above all other factors. It urged governments to let the Syrian voice be heard, pointing out that no Syrian has been at the negotiating table in Vienna and the lack of Syrian input has meant that the lives of innocent civilians are often overlooked when looking at the Syria crisis as a whole.
