On 4 December, the day after the UK Government voted to use military airstrikes in Syria against ISIL, Rethink Rebuild contributed to an article in Mancunian Matters to express its doubts over the viability of this military intervention. We argued that bombing ISIS will simply create a void which will be filled by yet more extremist sympathisers, therefore not necessarily making the UK safer from the threat of terrorism.
