On 24 March 2025, Rethink Rebuild Society’s Manager, Dr Haytham Alhamwi, was invited to The University of Manchester to contribute to a panel discussion as part of the Migration and Development module.
The session brought together speakers from diverse backgrounds and organisations, giving students the opportunity to hear first-hand perspectives on migration and development work. Dr Alhamwi spoke about the development of Rethink Rebuild Society’s work, its experience supporting migrants and refugees, and the charity’s response to the evolving needs of migrant communities.
The discussion also enabled students to learn more about the work of local organisations and consider opportunities for future engagement and collaboration.
