On Monday 23 April, Rethink Rebuild Society’s Manager, Dr Haytham Alhamwi, was invited to speak at The University of Manchester as part of a panel discussion for the Migration and Development module.
The panel brought together speakers from different backgrounds and organisations to share their experiences of migration and development work with a class of 20 engaged students. Dr Alhamwi presented the evolution of Rethink Rebuild Society’s work, its experience supporting migrants and refugees, and the charity’s role in responding to the changing needs of migrant communities.
The session also provided an opportunity for students to learn more about local organisations and explore potential opportunities for future collaboration.
