On Sunday 8 December, Rethink Rebuild Society hosted a celebartion evening bringing together the Syrian community and friends to mark one year since the fall of the Assad regime and to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in Syria’s history.
The event offered a warm space for renewing hope and collective joy, featuring live music by Nour Al-Sham Band, who led songs of revolution, freedom, and shared memory. Guests also enjoyed Syrian food from Lulu’s Kitchen, Kamal Al-Asfar’s Kitchen, Ghofran’s Kitchen, and a selection of sweets.
The gathering was a meaningful celebration of resilience, community, and hope for Syria’s future.
