On Friday 12 Nov 2021 we held our annual public meeting with the Syrian community in Manchester at Birch Community Centre. The meeting provided us the opportunity to give updates about the work we carried out in the last year most especially during the lockdown. We also discussed the possibility of creating committees to help with various issues pertaining to our communities such as applying for universities, finding accommodation, and organizing sporting and social activities.
In addition, 3 of our members were awarded prizes in appreciation of their work to serve our community in Manchester and beyond.
We also made a brief presentation about Covid. We reminded our community members that Covid is still here and that they need to continue to follow the government’s last advice to live safely with Covid.
The meeting witnessed a great participation, and we benefited a lot from the constructive feedback of our audience. We are ever so grateful for their time and effort.
