On Thursday 24 September 2020, RR participated in an online session exploring the main findings of Ageing Equally programme. Funded by Ambition for Ageing, the aim of the programme was to find out what makes a good place in which to grow older for people who belong to minority communities.
As part of the programme, RR conducted a research on elderly Syrian refugees residing in Salford and Oldham. The aim was to understand how Salford and Oldham can be made a better place to live for elderly Syrian refugees. The research was successfully completed in 2020.
During the online session, Dr Moaz El Sayed, the lead researcher from RR spoke about what he learnt through participating in Ageing Equally? And What RR has already done with the research, or plan to do with it in future.
RR would like to thank “Ambition for Ageing” for their support throughout the whole programme
