Rethink Rebuild at Erasmus Plus Training Programme

As part of Erasmus Plus Training Programme, RR's manager Dr Haytham Alhamwi provided a talk on 17 December 2019 at Sharon Youth Centre on 17 December 2019. The program hosted participants from 9 different countries. The talk highlighted many areas related to the refugees crisis and the root cause of the influx of Syrian influx outside their country. Dr Alhamwi also talked about the role of Rethink Rebuild in fighting the stigma about refugees and the activated the organisation is doing to empower refugees in the UK.

About the project:
The Different Ships project is a partnership building seminar aims to bring together youth workers, youth leaders, project managers directly working with young people and people with a migrant or a refugee background in order to explore together migrant culture and to share the political, cultural, educational, economic approaches of different countries towards migrants and refugees. The seminar aim is to give participants the opportunity to share ideas, discuss various approaches on working with refugees and migrants; and develop youth projects that challenge stereotypes and prejudices, bring people together and celebrate intercultural youth work.
