On Wednesday 27 November 2019, in collaboration with the UK Parliament Education services, Rethink Rebuild Society had a successful workshop to "Learn How the UK Parliament Works".
خلي صوتك مسموع | Get your voice heard workshop aimed at raising awareness about the work of the UK parliaments among the Syrian Community and Arabic-Speaking residents in the UK in general.
During the session the speaker Mr Gary Hart, a Senior Education and Engagement Officer from the UK Parliament, highlighted several points such as how the UK Parliament works, how citizens can influence the UK Parliament and get their voices heard, ways of contacting the local MP, and the duties and means of contact of House of Lords.
Participants showed high interest in the topic and audience engagement with questions was remarkable.
