Dr Alhamwi was one of four panellists on the panel "Witnesses to War Crimes in Syria" alongside Paul Conroy, Ann Hannah and Toby Cadman. The panellists talked about the war crimes in Syria committed by the Syrian regime from different perspectives and how to stop these crimes and bring those who were behind it to justice.
Hanan Albirmawi presented her first ever 'Voices from Syria' presentation at Manchester Metropolitan University's Faculty Fest on 17 March. This 'Voices from Syria' presentation was a result of a month's work between Hanan and one of our volunteers, Reem Aouir, who has been working with us to train five Syrian speakers as part of her coursework at MMU.
We spoke on a panel at an event on 15 March for Liverpool's Syria Awareness Week' on the topic of Syrian women. We highlighted local stories of Syrian activist women from within the Manchester community, highlighting that despite all odds and struggles, Syrian women are fighting to get their messages heard.

For International Women's Day we held on Sunday 12 March a film screening of Syria's Rebellious Women, a documentary by award winning journalist, Zaina Erhaim.
We attended a Parliamentary event on 13 March co-hosted by CAABU and Human Appeal on their joint work on Syria. The event provided updates on both organisations' work with respect to Syria and highlighted witness accounts from Aleppo. On Thursday 9 March, Dr Haytham Alhamwi from RR and Dr Ayman Jundi from Syria Relief charity gave a lecture on the crisis in Syria for a module in the Humanitarianism and Conflict Response Institute which was shared with a module in the Global Development Institute.
We hosted a 'Hiraeth' event for SICK! Festival at our office on 8 March which hosted three artistic performances exploring themes of home, family history and loss.

We gave a talk to some of the congregation at St Monica's Roman Catholic Church in Warrington, along with local charity Refugee Aid NW. The talk covered how the conflict started, what is happening in Syria and how people can help. Many people commented to us afterwards how useful the talk was in clarifying to them what is really happening in Syria.
