Iqraa School

This project is funded by Manchester Community and opened its doors for Syrian children on 15th September 2014. The school is located in the western suburbs of Aleppo Province, Syria where no education has been provided for the children there for many years.

The school has accommodated more than 600 pupils aged 6 to 15 including displaced and orphan children in addition to 30 members of staff. All types of support have been provided for these children which include education, medical and psychological support. This project has been fully funded by the Syrian Community of Manchester and their friends through money boxes, food selling and other activities and implemented in collaboration with the UK-registered Charity Action for Humanity (Syria Relief).
