The British Syrian Community of Manchester invites you to charity family fun day at Wilmslow high school.
Following last year’s immensely successful “Syria Day”, which hosted 3,500 visitors, this year’s event, which we hope will draw some 6,000 visitors, comes as a result of long hours of planning, meetings, and arrangements.
We have recruited the help of over a hundred volunteers to help us ensure that this will be a wonderful day, that we will all remember for a long time to come. An attendance target of 6,000 is, of course, an ambitious one, but with your help and support, we can certainly achieve it. The Syrian Community in Manchester has always demonstrated great enthusiasm and eagerness to support similar events across the UK: We have hired buses and came in large numbers to participate and provide material and logistical support to many charity and awareness events all over the UK throughout the past 15 months.
Now it is your turn to show your support to the Syrian Community in Manchester by attending and by inviting your friends to this great event. There will be an entertaining programme, featuring a giant plasma screen running a special show to raise awareness and highlight the magnificent work that you have achieved in the past 15 months.
There will also be a special feature about the uprising, as well as the usual mix of charity bazaar, children entertainment, and delicious food including grilled kebab, shawarma, grilled chicken, falafel, manakeesh, and much more.
Detailed information can be found on the flyer attached below. Please spread the word and bring your family, friends and colleagues. We look forward to seeing you all on 30th June.
