About the Author
Robin Yassin-Kassab is a British Syrian writer and journalist based in Scotland who has commented on the Syrian Revolution since 2011.
He is the co-author of the Folio Prize-shortlisted Burning Country: Syrians in Revolution and War and the novel The Road to Damascus.
He currently acts as the English editor for the Prisons Museum, an NGO documenting prisons run by both ISIS and the Assad regime.
