A successful fundraiser at ASDA Longsight superstore in Manchester

On Saturday,1 June 2013, the British Syrian Community of Manchester, in cooperation with Syria Relief charity, organized a fundraiser at ASDA Longsight superstore. Volunteers from other communities helped the Syrian children in bringing this event to success. The supervisors divided the work into shifts in which a child was to work up to 3 hours on that day.

Silent protest against the World's Silence

On Saturday, 4th May, the Syrian Community in Manchester organized a silent protest against the World's silence on the situation in Syria. The protest was staged at Piccadilly Gardens from 1 to 2 pm. The participants had their mouths taped as a symbolic reference to the way the world remained silent while the Syrian people were being killed by the Assad’s regime.

On Saturday, 9 March 2013, the British Syrian Community of Manchester, in cooperation with Syria Relief charity, organized a fundraiser at ASDA Hulme superstore. Volunteers from other communities helped the Syrian children in bringing this event to success. The supervisors divided the work into shifts in which a child was to work up to 3 hours on that day. Open letter from Manchester councillors to MP’s

We signed an open letter to Parliamentarians calling them to carefully think through their stance on the upcoming vote to strike ISIS targets in Syria. The letter stresses the threat that such airstrikes will have on civilian life without any clear indication that the strikes will be effective in the manner they have been advanced.
