Happy New Year!

This year has come to a close, leaving behind a number of significant developments in Syria that merit serious reflection and appropriate responses. Our efforts - in our dealings with public officials and policy-makers, the media and the general public - have been driven by one clear vision: The lifting of suffering on civilians in Syria and the transition away from state and state-inspired terror into a free, democratic and sovereign future that preserves justice and the rule of law. One of our primary advocacy issues for this coming year will focus on the 'Detainees and Forcibly Disappeared' file which we consider a prerequisite to any advancement on reaching a settlement.

We would like to wish you all a happy New Year and hope that the year of 2018 will bring positive signs that assert our moving towards that aspiration towards ultimate peace and stability in our Syria. We hope for further collaborative efforts between us and yourselves towards making that possible.

Best regards,

Dr Haytham Alhamwi

Managing Director
