There is always more things to do!

As you can see from this long newsletter, the last two months have been full of activity. In March we participated in the annual demonstration marking the sixth anniversary to the revolution. In April we hosted an indoor family fun day, drawing together over 600 Syrians. We continue to proudly serve the Syrian community on three critical fronts: advocacy, community, and education.

The past two months have also seen some incredible developments on Syria as well as the opening of great opportunities that we must seize as a community. The horrific 4 April chemical attack on Khan Sheikhoun reminded the world of the criminal nature of the Assad regime and has put Syria back on the international scene. UK Prime Minister Theresa May’s decision to hold elections in the UK on 8 June has also opened a window of opportunity to promote Syrian issues in the UK political sphere. We hope that you will join us in pushing your candidates to articulate clear and favourable positions on Syria. Together, we can make Syria an issue on the agenda this election.

Best regards,

Taha Saadelddin

General Manager
