Eid Mubarak!

As we near the end of Ramadan, we would like to wish you all a Eid Mubarak. This Ramadan has been especially difficult for us both in Syria and here in the UK. In Syria we continue to see the escalation of violence, with reports of white phosphorous being used intensively by Russia over many areas in Syria. We are continuously working with activists on the ground to bring the news to UK media so that the Syrian issue stays alive.

We were also devastated to hear of the brutal murder of our beloved MP Jo Cox this month. Jo was a true champion for Syria and her loss was a huge blow to the Syrian community. The UK's vote to leave the EU this month has also prompted huge changes in the domestic UK politics. We are highly concerned about the rising anti-immigration rhetoric which followed from the vote.

More than ever, we hope that you will continue to support our work to keep Syrian issues alive in the UK political and media landscapes. Once again, Eid Mubarak!

Best regards,

Dr. Haytham Alhamwi

Managing Director
