On Thursday 22 Feb, we hosted an online session discussing the provision and accessibility of NHS mental health services for refugees, featuring Researcher Leila Saeed. In this episode researcher Leila Saeed shared insights from her research, a significant component of her master's degree, focusing on the provision and access to NHS mental health services for refugees in the UK. She delved into the barriers refugees encounter when seeking mental health services and examined suggestions from professionals in the field aimed at overcoming these barriers. The session proved to be highly informative.
This event happens as part of the 'Refugees, the Lived Experience' online series, where researchers present findings from their research work and discuss the relevance of these findings to the life and wellbeing of refugees.
