Syrians with UFF Forms for Affixing the Visa should now be able to leave Turkey for the UK

RR contacted the Turkish embassy in London and the British embassy in Ankara to enable Syrians with UFF forms to leave Turkey to the UK. We have been notified that the issue has been resolved.

'It is not a civil war': A lecture at Manchester University

RR delivered a seminar on Friday 17 April at the Humanitarian & Conflict Response Institute at the University of Manchester about the situation in Syria. The seminar talked about the reasons behind the Syrian uprising against the Assad regime and how the media is distorting the situation on ground.

Peacebuilding approaches to violent extremism in Europe

RR participated in the Conflict Ideas Forum hosted by International Alert in London on Tuesday 28 April. This forum explored peacebuilding approaches to violent extremism in Europe and provided an opportunity for practitioners and academics to discuss fresh approaches that could be developed in tackling this issue.

RR participated in a vigil organised by Oxfam to mark four years of the humanitarian crisis in Syria. RR reminded the audience of the atrocities that continue to take place and stressed that the international community needs to start working in the interest of the Syrian people.
